Hi,

Please could you give me your opinions on these guitars, I like the look of them both but I think my main priority is value for money. The springy sound looks in good nick but will prob cost nearer 25-30% once tax and duties have been added.

The other thing is weight. I used to own a tokai les paul style copy and it was a bit heavy to gig with regularly, which is what i want it for.

Thanks!

the other guys on here know a lot more than i do, and can give more general answers, but my '84 goldstar is extremely light. none of the tokai strat copies i've tried has been heavy, far as i can remember, and certainly compared to a LP they should generally be a lot lighter.

my 'sweeet spot' for Strat weights is 7 lb. 4 oz. to 7 lb. 12oz.

one of my best was just slightly over 7 lb. @ 7 lb. 2 oz.

I consider a 'perfect' Strat weight to be 7 lb. 8 oz.

Two of my current faves are both 7 lb. 11 oz.; a 2 piece/center seam Goldstar & a 2 piece/center seam BST-64V :D
