Tokai experts!!! Opinions needed on Tokai guitar

Hello people. I am new to the Tokai registry and was wondering if any of you Tokai experts would be willing to offer your opinions on the following e-bay item; item number 140543896456

Ok, have done a bit of research now and I reckon it's an ATE50 from around 2008. This has been doing my head in as there's no serial number on the neck plate. Beautiful guitar!

dunno about that listing... they certainly are making telecasters again.

(note: i'm not commenting on the actual guitar, just the sales spiel)

Thank you for your comment Dave. So they are making telecasters again? I tried looking for a new Tokai tele but couldn't find one and so I can see why the seller may have concluded that they were currently not being produced. Then again Iprobably didn't try hard enough. If this guitar is three years old then it would appear to be an ATE50. Can anyone confirm this?

Actually it's an ATE-50/BTS - whatever that means!!!

rockem music has some models for sale currently, i think. For not much more than the guy on ebay is asking. I haven't used rockem before, though, so that's not a recommendation.

I don't want to comment on the specific guitar you're looking at because I don't really know enough about them... :lol:

I see what you mean! Looks to be of a similar standard to the ATE82 in the second link that you posted.
