I had a candy red Springy finished in nitro.
It belongs to another forum member now.
I think he can confirm it too.

Yeah, but on a Goldstar? I don't think any of them were nitro finished.... but I might be wrong

http://brochures.yokochou.com/guitar-and-amp/tokai/1984/en_05.html If you read the description from the 84 catalogue you will notice the description laquer. This means nitro cellulose laquer. Goldie St 80s were nitro I can verify that as I have one.St 80s however had a slab fingerboard the goldie advertised has a lam fingerboard so it won`t be nitro.Gabe.
