I just snagged a used ES-115 CM on the Yahoo auction site in Japan and am hoping to get some information on it here.

The guitar hasn't arrived yet, but photos of an identical guitar can be seen at http://www.deuce-inc.com/pictures/newpage15es115bbhtm.htm

I assume the CM indicates a custom model. According to the description (in Japanese) at the above Deuce site, it is a custom model built in 2007 to '63 ES-335 specs (block inlays) and equipped with Alnico PUs from the same factory that makes Gibson PUs. What make of PUs would that be? How will they be different from stock Tokai PUs?

I got the guitar for Yen 61,800, approx. US$650 at current exchange rates. How did I do on price?

Anything unusual about the guitar or anything else I should know when I first inspect it? Any and all comments will be much appreciated.

I had my eye on that one & can't believe I let the end of the listing slip right by me

You got a Hell of a deal on that, block inlays RULE!!

Congrats :D .......

Thanks, Rich.

I'm glad I waited until the auction was over to ask here! The price seemed too good to pass up, but I'm not familiar with used Tokai prices.

I prefer the block inlays to dots, too, especially on a black guitar.
