** Two settings one for a treble boost and one for a mid boost, perfect as a clean booster or for taking an amp sitting 'on the edge' in to creamy distortion. It'a battery only (as it's centre +ve) but the boost level knob on top has an off position to turn it off completely while leaving it on your board, of course un-plugging it turns it off as well.
