newble to the world tokai. can someone tell me what model this is .i know its a love rock
think its made in china s/n starts with ca101 tia kev

From what I can see it looks like an ALS48.

The color is probably violin finish (VF) but the pics make it look like the color on yours is more even, so not sure.

It's definitely Chinese 2010.

I think there are some differences in how the Korean ones and the Chinese ones are anchored.

But that is how they keep costs low, materials and hardware.

Btw, there were 3 different factories making Les Pauls for Tokai in China in 2010 it looks like. Three completely different types of serial numbers.

Here is a different factory that started making Tokais in 2010 and used a CN serial number. They are still making Toakis as far as I know.

Here are the bridge posts off a Korean one made between 2000 and 2005.

The CA serial number Love Rocks are not very common and not much is known about them.

I had suspected they were counterfeit, but then saw one in a photoshoot for the 2011/12 UK catalog and realized they may be legit.

But they did not stick with that factory it looks like.
