Hello everyone,

I've come across this EG600PB in very good condition; the seller claims it's ebony board, FEB, Maxon U1000, maple cap (I've asked for pickup cavity pictures). Were these standard specs for 1980. EG600PB? From the info that I have, lower models were mostly veneer tops? Any weak points on these models that I should look out for?

Kind regards and thank you for any information,

Marko.

1980 catalog Vol. 12

Btw, the word that transaltes as veneer often means solid piece of wood.

My observations from guitars on the two Greco groups on facebook is that the chambered models with plywood tops are models up to EG450 - with the exception being that the three pickup 600 models are also chambered with a plywood top

This is the pic seller sent me
