Looks like they were importing Tokai acoustics into the US as early as 1970 ?

Looks like a 320F from the Humming Bird line, but the logo on the label is a script logo, so likely slightly later? Circa 1970-72 ?

Vintage TOKAI 12-String Acoustic Guitar 7660 G.M.C. Made In Japan MIJ | #327510470

This is a project guitar. Up for auction is a used TOKAI 12- String Acoustic Guitar 7660. The guitar does show wear- please see all pictures. I assume the guitar at one time had a pickup and volume/tone controls installed as there are holes drilled by the sound hole and the body. Rosewood back and sides- Mother of Pearl neck binding. Missing a mother of pearloid plug at the bridge. There is no heel/body separation. Probably needs new frets. Needs deep cleaning. Needs strings. I will include a non original functional case with the guitar. See pictures carefully and ask questions before bidding, as this is "Sold As Is" with no return sale. 1970's Lovely Old Small Body Tokai Acoustic Big Sound Made in Japan for USA Market

Label says "Built for and Distributed by GMC Cleveland Ohio"
American connection unfortunately Confirmed by the inscription 'John Roche Boston Mass' Scratched into the Body near the rear strap button.
The Pickguard Looks original but the black finish on the inside has flaked off leaving only a Small Part showing and Leaving the Rest Clear.
Has been fitted with a Bridge Truss like the JDL Bridge System which keeps the top flat and improves the tone.
This Guitar Sounds Great and plays well.
Has a small repaired fault near the Binding at the back but not moving very solid
