Color Change Finishes

Just wanting to document the finishes on STs mainly that seem to be prone to color change over time.

In some cases it seems to be exposure to pollutants in the air like cigarette smoke.

Also, this affects poly finishes which I would have thought were pretty bomb proof, but apparently they can absorb and or react to pollutants in the air.

The Lake Placid Blue (LB) color seems prone to discoloration.

Here is one heavily discolored to the point that it looks green. Apparently from cigarette smoke.

It's an ST55 so that should be a poly finish.

Olympic White (OW) is another color that seems to go towards a Blonde color over time in some cases.

Here is a 1987 AST that has gone blonde.

It's a lower end model so also a poly finish.

What Tokai do I have
