Hi all,

friend of mine asked me about this guitar (it used to be mine!)
I can’t remember when I had it and where from been a long time !
It’s a bit of a mix (maple neck and bound body) thanks in advance !IMG_7051.jpegand I don’t even know if it’s Japanese or not any pointers welcome !
 
Welcome. We need more info. What is the serial number? Do you have a picture of the neck plate etc.

That is an early 2000s no serial ATE55

These tend to not command much. This is during the period Tokai was making Fenders in Japan and the Tokai labeled Fender copies tended to be lower cost during this period. 45,000 - 70,000 yen range. And it is hard to pin down the year made. Mysterious period.

Oh good ! - I sold it him for £300 years ago … and he’s thinking about doubling that which might be a bit steep for me anyway 😩
 
He would be lucky to get that I would think.

Plenty of fish in the sea. Look around. Always something else out there.
