Tokai Talbo was born in 1983 with a consistent attitude and innovative technology to ensure the pursuit of true originality and to move the world of electric guitars forward. The crystal-clear, noiseless sound, overwhelming power, and unbelievable dynamics produced by the world's first aluminum alloy body completely overturned the concept of electric guitars. In 1997, the legendary Talbo underwent numerous evolutions and was revived, and continues to be a long-selling product. Its rich expressive power continues to be loved by artists who are constantly creating new sounds and aiming for timeless, high-quality performances.

Quick response
The material characteristics of the metal body provide quick response. The wonderful rise of the sound, which reaches its peak immediately after picking, has been proven in acoustic characteristics experiments.

Long sustain
Because the energy of string vibration is transmitted straight, you can get beautiful long sustain. Because the sound attenuation follows a gentle curve, you can feel a more natural sustain compared to conventional wood-bodied guitars.

Balance
The powerful and clearly defined bass range and beautifully resonant treble range combine to provide a clear response for rhythm cutting. Experience the quality of the sound coming out of the amp.

Noiseless
The body itself acts as a shield block, perfectly shutting out noise. Matching with effectors is also good.

By changing the flow of sound, an unknown realm of musical expression became visible. SEB Sound Stream Series

More powerful and rich expressive power. The SEB structure is the culmination of Tokai's continued evolution to unleash the imagination of players and express themselves as they wish. Unlike the conventional idea that the sound of solid guitars and basses is determined by the type of material used for the body, this structure was devised by focusing on the way vibrations are transmitted through wood. Compared to guitars and basses with conventional structures, this structure provides faster sound onset and response, clearer sound, longer sustain, and a wider dynamic range. Regarding the points mentioned above, we have repeatedly produced prototypes and compared them with conventionally constructed guitars, and we have found that there are clearly noticeable differences. We believe that the sound characteristics of the newly developed SEB structure will be able to provide Freyers with a completely new sound not found in conventional electric guitars and basses. The SEB structure has the potential to far exceed the sound image of the past. (SEB is an abbreviation for SOUND EFFECT BODY.)

Focusing on vibration characteristics in the direction of wood fibers It is said that there is a 4:1 difference in the speed at which vibrations are transmitted between wood grains, both vertically (fiber direction) and horizontally. Vibration is transmitted faster in the longitudinal direction of the wood, or in other words in the fiber direction, than in the horizontal direction. However, up until now, all solid guitar and bass bodies have been made of wood cut horizontally. The SEB structure solid guitar and bass we developed this time focused on this vibration characteristic, and used a body material in the middle layer of the body that was cut in the direction of the wood grain (vertical direction of the wood) and laminated together. It has a three-layer structure sandwiched between materials cut in the direction of the wood grain (horizontal direction of the wood). There have been a variety of solid guitars and basses with laminate construction, but none had a structure with a laminate end. Due to this structure, the vibrations of the strings received by the top plate are quickly transmitted through the inner butt surface, reach the entire back plate, and are then reflected and transmitted to the top plate through the butthole surface, which is repeated repeatedly. A new dimension of sound was born. (SEB structure was patented.2004-174511).

The timeless standard model also has an SEB structure and has an unmistakable quick response.

The origin of the acoustic guitar. The details faithfully reproduce the vintage sound, and the herringbone trim and gold parts. Long slot, cat's eye & snowflake.

The "Cat's Eyes Acoustic Guitar Project", which was started by Tokai in 1975, takes historical masterpieces that have been used as role models by craftsmen around the world, and captures not only the details, but also the nuances of the sounds. We have painstakingly and faithfully reproduced it. And now, Cat's Eyes, a gift to the new music scene, has been born.
