So here's the dilemma. Do I fix the scratch plate to my new (to me) LS1000 or leave it off? It looks cool off, but will I still think so when I've scratched the wood :roll:

I have the ES130 and have read that it has a nitro lacquer finish. My guitar tech said he didn't think it does. Apart from destructive testing, is there any information which will settle this one way or another?

Hello everyone. I'm delighted to have become a Tokai owner today. I have just taken delivery of my new 2008 serial no. ES 130 VNT. It is a thing of beauty and seems to be very well put together. Tomorrow I'll get to plug it in :D Here she is:
