    Greco SuperSound vs. SuperReal

Judging by the finish and headstock (non-flowerpot) logo, this seems to be a Super Sound with a 'Super Real' TRC rather than a genuine Super Real, but can anyone confirm...

Greco Strat & LP for Sale

This is the one I purchased for (sterling) 400+100 postage from stjjjj: A Greco EGC-600 CS LP Custom Mint Collection 1987 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300474766901&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Seemed like a good deal, in decent condition, all original parts, electics fine...

Greco Strat & LP for Sale

Here's another two I was looking at: (1) http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170461674843&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT The back of the neck seems unusual. Dark headstock then complete yellow/gold neck; no blend-in between the two. I read somewhere to be careful as some headstocks on...

Greco Strat & LP for Sale

Do you think the price is ok or too high on both these guitars? There's an EG 1000C selling in Japan (with the full insignia on the headstock and 'Custom' on the TRC) for about $100 less but then you have to factor in Import duty/VAT costs, long-distance post, etc.

Greco Strat & LP for Sale

Just wondering what the Greco experts think about these two guitars currently on offer: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120628926891&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120628934078&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Thanks for your advice.

    An evening of Strats

Nice selection of guitars. Just looking at the amp in the background. I've heard great things about Cornell Amps. Apparently great lows/bass. What model is that Stratman and how does it compare to Marshall and Peavey?

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

Diamond, sorry for the harsh overtones earlier. Yes, the pics I posted are my guitar (as on P.1) but for convenience here are two more shots (below): You can see the left side and especially a blob or lump on the top right side which really stands out under the light. As I said before...

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

Diamond, no I was just making a statement. Looktoyourorb, exactly, well spotted and thanks for the clarification. I've played mostly strat models so just wanted some clarification on the finish of these LP-type guitars. My main concern all along was the poly vs. nitro finish on LS-150s. Just...

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

No need to be an arrogant dickhe*d about it. The forum is for questions, sharing information and those seeking clarification. I just want to know more about the finish on the guitar. If you're struggling to be mature and can't contribute in a positive manner then p*ss off!

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

Yes, I was running with two different points there. I'd always wondered why the heavy laquer (poly/nitro) smudges were applied on these guitars. The finish (coating) is a little heavy and uneven in places in comparison to the Plaintop. Just wondered why?

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

Note entire left section and huge smudge in top right of the guitar.

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

I could be wrong but going on high-resolution pics it seems the UK LS-150s are (heavily veneered). Not an expert on finishes but it would seem the Plaintops are more "natural" in finish. My UK model seems heavily veneered (below): Pic1 (of 2): and: Pic2 (of 2): Only God and Tokai know...

    Plaintop LS150 vs. Flametop/Sunburst UK LS150

What quality difference does the Plaintop LS150 have over/against the same model Flametop (or UK Sunburst model)? Also, are not the finishes the same? Some people claim the Plaintop LS150 is the best of (at least) the LS150 line. Why?

    Nitro or Poly?

Just going back to the very beginning of this thread where the first reply was in response to the remark about the Plaintop LS150 (now LS160) being the best buy, a question came to mind: What quality difference does the Plaintop LS150 have over/against the same model Flametop (or UK Sunburst...

    Ebay Springy ST-60

It's a nice guitar but Marcus is right: we're still living in the recession. At that price level I'd have to put it up against a good used US 90s Strat Plus (buying from Ebay Europe) and I'd still have change to pay the rent and bring the missus out for a burger meal! The ST-60 might...

    Ebay Springy ST-60

This guitar seems to have been advertised for quite some time. :-? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380239291496&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123 I saw a thread somewhere on this forum from 2007 (at least)where the same guitar was being discussed. Never understood (three...

    Questions regarding new LS150

Yes, I actually have that Expandora pedal. The new model can produce some crazy sounds but it's a good all round distortion pedal. Good to see that the Tokai LoveRock got Billy's approval. That's good enough for me. :D Well I'll get back to polishing up 'Blue Jean Blues' and later 'PCH' (...
