I had to bend the contacts to 90 degrees on the bottom or I would have had to carve out an extra channel to make it fit. I have a new ate50 and am wwaiting for my baja wiring kit with s1 to arrive, so will update wether I have to butcher the guitar

Usually red is hot, White goes to earth as does the braid. If you find it out of phase with other pickup swap White and red around. It will sound really thin and bright with both pickups selected if out of phase. Hope that helps Regards Ian

I use schaller straplocks so I have 2 straps that I can use on any guitar as they all have the locking posts. Found it good method when gigging as they never dropped off and I didn't need to remember extra straps. You can buy just the strap posts on ebay

Yes indeed, I am now the proud owner of said guitar. The 55 denotes a custom colour. Mine has the vi pickups but I find them too thin for my style of playing/music. Pickups in yours seem to be different again. Mine has a maple neck.

Hi did I get that right that your st50 has tokai stamped saddles?? if so what year is it, because someone once said on here that the guitar I was trying to identify had springy saddles and couldn't be a goldstar even though it blatently is a goldstar as all goldstars had final prospect stamped...
