    thanks again, loverockerUK i originally had trouble reading that webpage .. the only bit that i could see about serial numbers was a table that said 5 digit numbers on the neckplate represented 1956~1960 models !!! but now i think i get it ... the headstock gives it away oh well, wish me luck...
