Just to add to my last comment about the serial number. The number can be seen at the back of the neck just before the neck joins the body. You don't have to take the neck off to see it.

By fret edge binding I guess you mean neck binding?? I have a 1978 LS60 reborn that has neck binding and a one piece back. Little bit of flame on top too.

I got this 1984 bass new years eve. Very happy with it so far. The neck is thin like a Jazz Bass, 24 frets, fairly heavy. Has active pickups with a battery in the back under the round cover. The intonation is perfect.

Found a blue 1984 Talbo Bass in the land Downunder. Appears to be super clean. According to the tracking it's in LA now. I'll post some pix when I get it. A bass with a 24 fret neck, crazy!
