    I soldered them on

LS90Q just arrived, would you believe...

A went to Kosmic in Osbourne Park here in Perth and one of the guys gave me a set of old covers for 10 bucks. I put them on and they seem to fit nicely - but now I seem to have some strange pickup feedback when I play up the neck with any kind of overdrive or distortion on. For example trying to...

    LS100Q arrived today!

Very nice. I like that finish as well - I'm not sure which I prefer.

LS90Q just arrived, would you believe...

Yep, they're Alnico Pro 2s (as it says in the OP  ). What do you think Oze, is it a genuine 2003 LS90Q? On the subject of pickups - I really don't like the look of uncovered humbuckers. Is it possible to put covers on (without much effort)? Thanks! It seems like I got a pretty good...

LS90Q just arrived, would you believe...

... that it's lovely? The eBay seller said they were reasonably confident that it is a 2004 LS90Q, could you fellows confirm that for me? In case it's hard to see, the serial number is 0306231. In any case, it looks and feels very nice indeed - an extremely awesome companion...

    LS100Q arrived today!

Nice review. I'm waiting on a 2004 LS90Q which I got on eBay, so your review makes me even more excited. If I'm not mistaken, a 2004 LS90Q is the same as a 2008 LS100Q?

    "Peavey Classic Series Amps"

I can also vouch for the Classic 20. Nice looking, nice sounding and stupidly loud for its size.

Possible LS85F bargain for risk takers

Thanks for that, I'd already bid on a LS90Q when I read that, otherwise I might have followed it up.

LS90Q - OR IS IT? Have I done the right thing?

I know you guys hate getting questions AFTER the guitar has been bought, but I've just bought a guitar on eBay which I have a few questions about. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150371013190&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT The photos are not very high res, but can you...

Possible LS85F bargain for risk takers

Some of that pesky blood rushed to my head and I put a bid on something else, which I've just won.

It looks nice to me. If he had better feedback I'd be extremely tempted. I'm...

    Peavey Classic eBay trouble

I thought about that, but I decided I'd had enough trouble from this guy, no need to make him a full blown enemy. I find it's better just to laugh at these kinds of people, what do I care anyway? I ended up doubling my money, so I win! If they really did care, they'd employ someone to scour...

    Peavey Classic eBay trouble

Thanks for the replies, guys. Yep, I made pains to be completely honest - I've got a relatively high feedback rating of approximately 250 (100%) which I intend on keeping. And yeah, it's clear what the amp is based on. It's the knobs really scream Fender - you know the ones - they face...

    Peavey Classic eBay trouble

I thought you lads might be interested in a little stoush I had with a belligerent Queenslander on eBay regarding the Peavey Classic 20 I was trying to sell. I've written a little account of the goings on which you can read here...

Peavey Classic 20: better than Pro/Blues Junior?

Good news: I ended up getting over $650 for them separately on eBay (not without some trouble though, I'm going to start a new thread about it).

    Springy Questions

Model numbers are the original price in thousands of Yen, unless I misunderstood which number you're talking about.

Giving up my Tokai Es100 - Sad but true.

I'm currently selling a Chinese Monterey SG copy on eBay, I described as a Monterey Gibson SG lookalike, which is an accurate description of what it is, I don't think they could get me on that. I haven't had any problems. You probably should have described it as a "Gibson copy" or something...

    Small Amp (Cheap!) for practising

I can personally recommend the Epiphone Valve Junior V3. Mine is stock, so there are no controls apart from volume, but it sounds great.

My first brand new Tokai in 25 years..!!!

The guys at the shop advised 10s as well. I assume heavier strings would result in a bit less neck flex as well? Yeah, shame. Still, I feel I got a good guitar for that money.
