Check out the goldstar on ebay with the odd shaped headstock and sanded area around logo. He spells it Stratcaster and says it's an 1982. I am no expert but have never noticed any with a non fender shaped headstock. Fakai??

Two nearly identical 1976 greco teles. One says its a 76 from the neck plate and the other says pre 77 due to LACK of serial # though you can see that there is one on the neckplate thats not possible to see. ALSO, ONE has a slot in the pguard for the truss. So help please with this
