Faber makes excellent parts. Standard ABR-1 replacement with raw brass inserts. Nickel plated brass. Titanium inserts. Hybrid titanium / brass on the low / high strings. Also, locking bridges. Lots of good stuff!

Solid top LS120s are relatively rare. The great majority of LS120s are veneers with very well matched and aligned veneers. For a true solid top, you'll have to do your due diligence, and expect to pay a pretty good price when you do find one. For a nice solid top, I would agree that $3 k USD...

I believe that Gibson LPs went to a 3 piece neck early in the 1969 model year. Well prior to adding the volute or "Made in USA" stamp.

And one premium not-so-Goldie... I got one of the LS1-R9s in late December and am extremely pleased with it. It really doesn't feel and play like a new guitar, and I mean that in a very good way. 8)

Mark (Villager) is also excellent to deal with. Can't go wrong around here...

Lovely mahogany back, really like the figuring. And, as commented, very lovely figuring in the "plain" maple top. Nothing plain about that guitar!
