Well, I have to say that those veneer tops that I have seen on both the 600 and 700 models are really nice...are they real veneers or photo tops?

Are all Chinese guitars that bad??? Seems to me that most of the people I meet in the medical schools and hospitals these days are young, aspiring Chinese students that are brilliant and very resourceful and creative...I just have a hard time with the generalization that all Chinese products...

I thought the LS85Q was no longer made, and that the LS100Q was the replacement...at least that was what I was told by a Tokai dealer in South Africa....

I guess that I should toss into the mix that I just sold a custom shop Tokai Love Rock...a nitro, Koa top (one of 24 made), and it was rather blah and lifeless, and really bright sounding...almost harsh, which was surprsing to me. The nitro finish was significantly thicker than a standard...

What would be a reasonable US dollar value for a used (mint) LS85Q, given that you can get a new LS100Q from Japan for around 1K, plus shipping? Before I make an offer, I want to know what is a reasonable range in which to couch the offer...thanks! :wink:

Hey all you Tokai SG owners (Japanese models)...what are your recommednations on a hardshell case to fit this model? I have a TKL 7826 that is supposed to fit SGs, but mine won't quite fit. I'm assuming that the TKL are made to fit Gibson, and that the Tokai SG is slightly wider on both lower...
