Greco Super Real SA1200 - 1980 very rare and near mint

Think this code only applied to the six digit numbers 77-82 - but Zs seem to fall into that period and start with a "2". Details below are from http://forum.japanaxe.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=768 _____________________________________________________________ Greco and Ibanez pickup...

Greco Super Real SA1200 - 1980 very rare and near mint

Thanks wknight2 !! Not much out there on the www on this issue but all solder joints look original and I believe that the first number code "2"denotes Dry Z. Much appreciated, Dave

Greco Super Real SA1200 - 1980 very rare and near mint

Hi guys, Re the pus - I bought the guitar on the understanding it was all original - it was listed as having Dry Z s - they have a Z engraved on the baseplate (LHS in pic shown) - most I've seen (in photos) have a Z stamped on in black ink - Im no expert here but I believe they are Dry Z's -...

Greco Super Real SA1200 - 1980 very rare and near mint

Forgot to add - for some reason my camera always brings out a strong red band with sunburst finished guitars - its isn't as pronounced as in the photos. It looks like the 335 on the cover of Adrian Ingrams book "The Gibson 335" - will add pic. Sorry, did go on a bit above with the description...

Fender Squire JV - early UK import - Fender logo

Point taken - and was only expressing my personal preference - but pus are a matter of taste and are often replaced - but I would never have done on this if I had any idea at the time how highly these guitars would be valued today when intact.

Fender Squire JV - early UK import - Fender logo

Bought this new in London after reading the rave International Musician review of the then newly arrived Japanese Fender Squires. http://www.monkeyview.net/id/4553/strats/index.vhtml?load=Neck_B# Have owned for must be thirty years but has not been played very much and is in excellent...

You guys here know what you are looking at so won't go on too much. Here are some pics:- http://www.monkeyview.net/id/4553/default/index.vhtml# These were only made for two years and in limited numbers - seem to be much rarer than the much sought after brother Lester EGF1200 and in some ways...

One piece bodies on Greco SEs

Thanks guys - a picture is beginning to emerge. Looks like 600 , 500 and 480 would not have 1-piece. Think mine is probably an SE800 then which is what it was sold as some time ago - thing is (although 1-peice) it didnt really match the catologue exactly since (with maple boeard) it had 11 screw...

One piece bodies on Greco SEs

No its a tobacco burst, maple neck, very yellowed pickguard. Definately one peice body - I can spot a join even when its hard to. By the way, I think the one piece construction adds some weight (this one comes in at about 8lbs 11oz) - theres some heated debate about the merit of weight and tone...

One piece bodies on Greco SEs

Cheers - I had seen that site - its got some pics in too but still a bit confused. Mark's site shows a nice natural SE800 that appears to have a 1-piece body - its difficut to tell (even in the flesh sometimes) - I have a nice SE that In am trying to identify (1 piece body) - will post some pics.

One piece bodies on Greco SEs

Guys, Does anyone know if one-piece bodies were only found on the higher end SE strat models (say 1000, 1200) or did they occasionally appear on all models??

Here goes..... Greco SA-900 and SA-1200

Im new here ? just spotted this one ? nice. I bought one not so long ago from a seller in the UK (pics below if I can upload!). Judging by how infrequently these appear for sale I don?t think there are many in circulation. I was looking for a good 335 with a neck on the chunky side rather than...
