    TOLAI LS-230 with koa top

It's worth each dollar. It is a LS230 plus being a special model with exotic top. Craftmanship would be perfect for sure. Better than your Bacchus? They are different to each other; your bacchus is equal to a LS150 by especifications but many of its parts are handmade and Tokai not. Both are...

    LS-1000 vs LS-230

I said to luis that here we're economically fucked too, like in Uk and USA. And he made a joke with a funny quote from an spanish important writer, who was asleep in a conference (or something) and somebody told him "Don Camilo, you were asleep!" and he said "Wrong, I was sleeping, because is...

    getting a tokai ls 320

Not a LS320, but LS1000 is a good guitar too and somebody is selling it at a very atractive price. http://cgi.ebay.com/TOKAI-LS1000-Japan-custom-shop-anniversary-ONLY-100_W0QQitemZ230246711681QQihZ013QQcategoryZ2384QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    getting a tokai ls 320

In my opinion, the quest for a high level Tokai is harder. I can't find a LS320, LS370, LS470, ... nothing like that in the market. Where is their production?

    mkII vs 57 classics

I put a moderate set in my explorer to get the real tone instead the overpowered sound of 500t-496r set, but in my Tokai I'm very happy with his stock MKII set. It sounds not as hot as Alnico Pro II but sounds more clear, it sings playing blueses. My Tokai will keep all stock for sure. And there...

    mkII vs 57 classics

And because of that I recommend him to give a try with the duncan set. They are as "natural" and PAFish as MKIIs by measurement but sound hotter instead the lineality of MKIIs.

    mkII vs 57 classics

My MKII set measures 7.55K in neck position and 8.34K in bridge position. The is another set similar to MKII in measurement but with a little more "caracter": Duncan Alnico Pro II; I have them installed in my Gibson Explorer and sound great, everything from light rock to metal.

Bell truss rod covers that fit!! AT LAST!

Obiously I choosed Gibson Les Paul shape instead that "thing", but I mean that don't need to have a 100% exactly clone to have an amazing guitar. I don't need to "correct" differences to make my guitar more playable or best sounding. I agree with you that Tokai is a "cloner" but for me is more...

Bell truss rod covers that fit!! AT LAST!

Not when you know clear what is a Tokai and what is a Gibson. Bell cover won't make my guitar sound better, it's only a detail to make a Tokai be more clone of a Gibson. Then, buy a Gibson. I bought my Tokai for its quality and perfection (better than Gibson), not for being a wannabe. I'm not...

Bell truss rod covers that fit!! AT LAST!

Because they prefer to spend more time selecting good woods and finishing better their guitars than cloning every micro-detail from Gibson?

Bell truss rod covers that fit!! AT LAST!

In my LS125F, Gibson's cover fits perfect, but I do prefer the original. I love my Tokai as is it, not as a wannabe.

    Prices rising again???

I have checked the woldwide (more or less 8) ) stock of japanese Les Pauls, Tokai, Bacchus, Edwards... and prices have raised about 10%. If memory serves me well, they raised 2 months ago! Prices are getting higher and higher, there's no end for this climbing? BTW, actually there's no Tokai...

    Plain or flame?

Then go for a gibson. Mine is a LS125f and don't mind if specs are 99.99% or 80% Is a gorgeous Les paul with Gibson historic specs and flame top. Veneer, sycamore... if sounds good, it really matter?

Need to upgrade my new LS125F ??

Finally received my new ?08 LS125F 3 weeks ago, and my pickups measure: - Neck: 7.55k - Bridge: 8.31k That means that mine are Gotoh instead Keiyo? (Keiyo bridge is about 12k) Whatever they are, I can say that these pickups have no balls compared to an Alnico Pro II set installed in a...

Why not many Tokai Japan Custom models?

There are much japanese LS models, from Gibson Standard clones to Historic reissues above Gibson's, but LC models are only in 2 options, LC95 and LC195 (which is a "LC150" by specifications). No Honduras mahogany option, no jacaranda, no '57 reissue clone... and LC195 is not easy to find, by the...

    Problem with truss rod

Hello, when I purchased my Tokai 2 weeks ago, the neck was completely straight. There's no much fret buzz, but a little curvature will be better. The problem is that the truss rod is too hard, and I can't loose it. I'm tryin to loose it counterclockwise, the way to do it, but is impossible...

    Strings in Tokai?

Hello, my hands usually tend to sweat and in a week, strings turn to dark matte in most played zones (Gibson Brite Wires) but my new Tokai LS125F is still shining after 2 weeks. Do you know what strings are these? By the way, this LS125F is similar in quality to a Gibson Standard or worst? Thanks
