Congrats Jacco, nice to see that they were still using the 'proper' Tokai headstock inlay on the '81 200 as per the earlier models, my '80 LR 200 is the same. But then you'd expect that attention detail for a top of the range model of the time.

Yes, Zebra Goto PAFs (adjustable pole pieces on both bobbins) unusually supplied with nickel covers. These covers are unique having 'legs' which fit over the legs of the pickup base, so no solder required.

Yep, 1982 with its original and very rare hard shell case - serial number is very close to my TEX70 which is up for sale in the classifieds here.

Now that would be interesting. I don't claim to be an expert but to the best of my limited knowledge I thought the TEX (Explorer) wasn't introduced until 1982?

First year of manufacture for this rare model, never been messed with, all original down to the fitted hard shell case. Super light weight and resonant at only 3.4kg, neck profile is 59'ish, plays and sounds great, frets are in excellent shape. Very comfortable, great playing guitars. No breaks...

1981 Tokai LS100S ON, all mahogany, OHSC Superb, all original and in very good condition with original 'lifton style' brown/pink hard shell case. Stock DiMarzio PAFs combined with the very resonant all mahogany body make this one really 'sing', neck is straight, frets hardly worn, no breaks...
