    strap locks

I bought a set after an incident with a guitar hitting the stage floor. That was the only set I can recall actually paying for, more than 10 years ago. All the others that I have were throw-ins at the time of purchase of a guitar. Things like straps and strap locks are not too much to ask for...

    Tokai Dh 502-ch?

============= That's funny coming from a guy who seems to be an expert on a guitar manufacturer that does nothing but build copies(albeit good ones) or 'fakes' of other guitar makers. And by the way, I enjoy my 'Fakai' every day! LOL! SS

    Tokai Dh 502-ch?

Everything I've read seems like rumor or hearsay as far as I'm concerned. I can only comment on the guitar because I own one. There are no markings on the gutiar other than 'Tokai' on the headstock. I got it for a song, $300cnd including a nice hardshell archtop case. Mine is a cherry...

    Where's my sustain?

Just my thoughts, but I doubt very much it has anything to do with the finish of the guitar. The first thing I would check is pickup hieght, if the strings are to close the pickups they will deaden sustain because of there magnetism. Second, check the nut slots, if the strings don't seat...

New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

It's funny you should mention Hagstrom. There is a shop local to me that sells them, and I've been eye-balling a semi-hollow for a while now. For a bit more money I could get one with an after market roller bridge and some fancy trem system. I'll have to look/play a bit more since you are so...

New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

I'm just wondering if anyone else has a burst style finish on one of these Chinese 335 copies. I've had one for about four months now, no model #, no serial #, etc, with a cherry sunburst finish, antique white binding, bigsby style trem, and Grover tuners. I got it for a steal of a deal...

New guy with a new Tokai!

Well I did find out more about this guitar by making a few phone calls, and those calls explained why I'm not seeing much if anything about them on the web. Sorry about the 1 millionth "What model is my Tokai" thread. LOL! The bottom line is that the guitar sounds and plays incredibly well...

New guy with a new Tokai!

Hi everybody, I'm brand new here and I just picked up my new Tokai guitar the other day. It doesn't have a model # or serial # on it, but to give you a good idea it's a beauty 335 copy with a cherry burst finish(very nice), a Bigsby style vibrato(also very nice), and Grover tuners(bonus!). I own...
