Got my new Edwards Les Paul today!!!!

That's pretty good. It's the shipping that kills me here in the US. Mine was 65,000 yen without shipping. Fortunately, I didn't have to pay any customs duties. If I ever travel to Japan, I'm coming back with a few of these.

Got my new Edwards Les Paul today!!!!

Hey all, I pulled the covers off my new LP-90LTS and guess what I found... Zebra coil pickups. Looks like Edwards just uses the same zebra sh-1's and sh-4's as in their LP-85 series guitars and just adds the aged cover. This was quite a surprise and not really a bad one either. Also...

Got my new Edwards Les Paul today!!!!

Thanks for the compliments. I've played plenty on newer Gibson Les Pauls, but I've never played a real 59' Les Paul, so I didn't know if they were carved like that or not. It's a subtle difference and not a problem at all. I'll see if I can get some pics of the cavities when I pull the pickup...

Got my new Edwards Les Paul today!!!!

Here you go. The pics are crap quality as I had to squeeze them down for dialup, but you get the idea. One thing I've noticed, the top is carved a little differently from the Gibsons. It's seems a bit concave at the edges around the top of the body. The top's edge feels a little different on...

Got my new Edwards Les Paul today!!!!

Hey all, I got my new Edwards LP-90LTS guitar in Vintage HoneyBurst, and I LOVE IT! I can't believe how nice it is. It arrived perfectly setup (for 9's, unfortunately) and IN TUNE all the way from Japan! The wood is so resonant. It just sings unplugged. The action is low and the frets are...

Les Paul Copies for under 1k euro

I got mine from Guitar Baka in Japan. Their website is: http://www.guitar-baka.com It's all in Japanese, so I had to have a co-worker (who is from Japan) help me translate. A little more work, but their price was much lower. http://www.guitarjapan.com This is another site that is nicer and...

Les Paul Copies for under 1k euro

I've got an Edwards LP-90LTS coming my way from Japan. Edwards is a Japan only branding of ESP guitars. They are true to Gibson specs and use high quality materials and worksmanship. 1 piece mahogany bodies, 1 piece mahogany necks, thick flame maple tops, lacquer finishes, good quality Gotoh...

Ordered myself a new Edwards LP-90LTS

Thanks for the replies. What about using an epiphone style 3-screw bell shaped truss rod cover. I believe the Epi les pauls have a truss rod slot that goes all the way under the nut. It wouldn't be exactly like the Gibsons, but would still look better than the stock ones. Not sure what they...

Ordered myself a new Edwards LP-90LTS

My new Edwards LP-90LTS in Vintage HoneyBurst is on its way from Japan and I can't wait. Anyone know if you can use a Gibson style bell shaped truss rod cover on these guitars? They look to be a bit longer. I hate the one it has stock. I've considered modding the headstock with a decal...
