Beautiful - please could you PM me specs and prices? I bought a white LC off you early 2015, which I'm very happy with and it was a great transaction/service!

WTB - something in TV Yellow

I have been given permission to buy a new guitar, having sold one on the principle of one in and one out.... :) Will be looking to make the purchase at the end of March 2018... Looking as it says for MIJ TV Yellow - higher end junior or preferably double-cut special....I play 25 gigs a year in...

    Genuine ES100N ?

That's how it is with the ES range....all my Love Rocks have the serial number on the back of the headstock but with my ES130 (2007) the serial number is on the label inside the guitar but nothing on the headstock...

    A Newbie Seeking Guidance.

I have both a premium LC in black and a vintage series LC in white. Both are fantastic guitars and both get used equally in rehearsals and live as I rotate my guitars with a new set of strings for each gig. Marcus has already given you the specs so I won't go into that. If you want a solid...

Just to let you know, I recently bought a brand new LC107s with replica Lifton Case from Tokai Germany. Thanks to the favourable Sterling:Euro exchange rate I got it shipped for ?780 or there abouts...

As it says on the tin....London-based, 100% ebay feedback....have bought guitars in from Japan so know about import charges.... Hit me up if you have anything that will interest me....all my guitars are Tokais but happy to entertain the thought of other MIJ brands...

Just won a Breezy on eBay!

It doesn't appear to have a serial number so I would guess it's 90s rather than 80s. It was early 90s, I believe, when Tokai stopped putting serial numbers on their F-style guitars.

    MIJ Breezysound No Serial number

Yes, I agree It is MIJ but probably built sometime from early 90s through to 2004. If I remember correctly, I thing Tokai stopped putting s/ns on their F-style guitars in the 90s and this continued through to 2004/5 when they stopped making F-style guitars for a few years due to manufacturing...

    is a 2008 LS90Q the same as a 2007 LS85

My view is that it is currently very hard to find any MIJ LP under ?500 in the current market - so ?450 including the case looks a very good buy. Secondly I have 2 premium Tokais plus my LS75Q...I'm a gigging guitarist and the LS75Q is my main gigging guitar because it just feels so right in my...

    Another ID my guitar thread......

I agree that country of manufacture shouldn't count against a guitar but if you ask people to identify a model, then the first thing to establish is whether MIJ, MIK or MIC...or Fake... As your model has an 08 serial I would say that it is MIC - production of the standard series moved from...

    CURIOUS !!!

I do read German and I think this guy is being straight - at least in the fact he states it is of Chinese origin but 1 of 2 made to order for a German shop with matt black and vintage style adornments... he's not trying to pass this of as anything other than an MIC guitar...

    CLOSE! buyed!!

When you buy from inside the EU there are no importation charges but if you bring goods into the EU then you have to pay import tax. In the UK, you have to pay tax on BOTH the cost of the guitar and the courier charges at 17% roughly So if you are looking to buy from Japan then add roughly 20%...

    CLOSE! buyed!!

Marco - this was for a second hand model, high end, in reasonable but used condition. I'm sorry but I think Mark's prices are fair and reflect the current market - look at prices from Japan then add courier and import charges (circa 20% in the UK) and then you'll realise that... Mark - thanks...

    CLOSE! buyed!!

If I might chip in here.... I bought a 2006 LC195s Black Beauty 3 and a half years ago and cost to me was ?900 including taxes and importation from Japan... Given that in the last 3 years prices have gone up and the exchange rate with the Yen and USD have gone down I would expect to have to...

    LS85 Goldtop

I can vouch for 10-46s...they sound well balanced on a Love Rock....anything lighter just doesn't feel right... I'm gigging regularly in this hot English summer...I change my strings regularly and I'll normally restring a couple of days before a gig and just play the new strings in a bit at...

    Orville made in Korea

As far as I know they were all MIJ. I do remember reading an article stating that some people mistakenly thought that Orvilles with the serial number beginning with K claimed that they were Korean made where in fact K in the serial number denotes Terada made Orvilles and ObGs... This might be...

    I wish there was a white LS195S!

Yes, Rockem definitely had a white premium custom for ?1499 last year and I have seen them on Japanese sites even though on the Tokai website they only list the LC195s as available in black... I bought my LC180s second hand 3 years ago from Hisashi. It's a 2006 model but in very good condition...
