I find that in Canada there are no serial Nos. on MIJ or MIK Fender copies. There is also no model no. on them. The only way to tell is by quality. You can definately tell when you compare them side by side. I can by a MIJ strat or Tele new for $325.00 (no case) because nobody is buying them.

The Tokai MIJ copies quality is higher than the US originals. My MIJ tele (new $325.00) is a better guitar than the identical US Fender Custom ($1,350.00). You have to buy them before everyone finds out about Tokai. In my town no one is buying Tokais so there selling them cheap.

I appreciate the offer, but I want to keep the original just in case I don't like the 6 saddle.

My Tokai tele is made up of 3 pieces. The thickness is solid wood but there is a 1 1/2" piece through the center of the guitar with two wings. Because it is a burst you can see the different grains but it looks great. Is this bad or is just bad when the thickness is not solid?
