Peter Mac, Thanks for the great info. All these years I've been calling it Salmon pink ... :-? How can you date it from the serial number - were they sequential or is there some "secret code" that gives an approximate date?

More info. Having removed the scratch plate for the first time ever (!!) the pot cavity has the stamp 3.2 PP Z and the pickups are stamped VI. No other markings

Thanks - I did look at the 1984 Catalog Page 8. The guitar on the chair could be it but it's difficult to judge the colour. The calatlog item may be Fiesta Red.
