*PIC & CLIPS* Thursday Burst + Wolfetone PAFs

Yeah I'm in Vasa, remember reading through your homepage once perhaps a year ago or something and noticed you live really close to me hehe... I'm a couchplayer yes, and I have been since I started playing like 7 years ago, I've wanted to play in a band for a long time but haven't really...

*PIC & CLIPS* Thursday Burst + Wolfetone PAFs

To plexirocker68, You're absolutely right! Just a little missunderstanding on my part then. Kaze - I'd suggest you e-mail Wolfetone telling him exactly what you're looking for, from what I understand he's a great guy and you'll probably get a good response.

*PIC & CLIPS* Thursday Burst + Wolfetone PAFs

Then if you read the original post again it says these are Wolfetone Legend PAF's, still sounded good IMO, but I'm in no way an expert. Plus I'm listening through a crappy headset right now before my new one arrives  Guess I'm speaking from what I personally heard from Wolftones, they...

*PIC & CLIPS* Thursday Burst + Wolfetone PAFs

Hi there! The pickups sound great IMO, nice playing too! A friend of mine just recently bought a set of Wolfetones Dr.V's, and I was really impressed with the sound even tho I was only able to play his R9 through a 5W tube amp, you could really hear that "PAF" in it. I'll be ordering a set for...

    Favorite Guitarists?

Thank you luis, I'll gladly accept any offer :) I really like Paco's playing, which i stumbled across by accident. Think i saw a documentary about him or something. Anyway i've always loved spanish music/flamenco, and classical guitar but never really bothered to find out who the good ones are...

    1982 Love Rock LS100

Thanks togps, you might have told me that before but I didn't remember. While mine's definitely a veneer judging from the off center seam I still don't know if it's an LS60 or LS80. Like i've said the pickups didn't have any markings at all and there's no PCB... ScottA sorry for kinda...

    1982 Love Rock LS100

No, I can't see ScottA's pictures either, forgot to mention that! Wish I had a digital camera so I could take some pictures of the pup cavities on my '85 "still unidentified LoveRock"! Except for the noncentered seam I find it VERY hard to see the laminate, in fact I haven't found it yet  .

    1982 Love Rock LS100

I won't interfere in the discussion whether it's a solid top or a veneer one but this is one gorgeous guitar IMO, congrats!! This pic tells me all i need to know :) ...

Asking additional $50 shipping costs after auction closed?

Well, did you read the whole thread? She made a mistake, but they all got along in the end. :-? Stuff like this happens all the time I bet, this particular seller doesn't seem as the type that would screw you over on purpose though... Always read the fine print! That way you won't get into...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Sorry for the late response, Yes you're right it COULD be an LS-80, unless the '85 had to have fret-binding... :-? Anyway, been playing quite a bit on it lately and I'm loving it more every time :) It sounds great and I'm really looking forward to trying different types of pickups to see in...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Oh I forgot to mention that, I don't have a multimeter at the moment, but I might be able to borrow one this weekend and measure the impedance! (no label under the pup's as i said) As I said in the beginning of my first post I just wanted to know if it was an LS-80 that it was sold to me as...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Nope, looking at it again it looks like it's a laminated top (the seam under the is not centered), which makes sense concidering the catalogues says that the '85's had laminated tops... How thick should the laminate be? To me it looks like it's like 0.1 mm's or am I looking at it wrong( I can't...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Correction: My friend just pointed out to me that the binding doesn't cover the fret edges which I would've known of course if I wasn't such a newbie to Les Paul type guitars, sorry about that... I did check the pickup cavities again and back of pickups, no info at all! I was thinking that the...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Thanks ian, You know what?! Since this has been such a "loved" guitar all these years, you can tell by all the scratches and dents, I'll continue to love it. Doesn't mather to me at all what model it is because it's such a good instrument! I'll probably try some different pickups and pots and...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Thanks for the warm welcome and replies! :) I didn't think about checking the catalogues before, actually when I did I noticed that the '85 TLS80 actually should have a "Flame maple laminated top & mahogany back" :http://www.tokairegistry.com/images/catalogs/tokai8514.jpg Of course I'm no...

Just got my first Tokai, LS-80??

Hello everyone, This is my first post in this forum, which btw has been very helpful, thanks! :D Anyway, I just got an -85 LoveRock (serial no. 502xxxx) but here's the deal, I'm not quite sure it's actually an LS-80 which it was sold to me as. The seller was very polite and honest and told me...
