Thanks felixcatus This TE-80 is a different spec as it has a L before the serial number. The rosewood on the fretboard is a thin veneer, not a slab like Fenders of 1964, which also had serial numbers that started with a L. ( I have to credit the Tokai Forum "Guru" Peter Mac for this info)...

Sold: 2002 Tokai Love Rock II - One of the first - Sold

Hi Gary, I don't have any sound files, at present. However the guitar can give a varied range of tones given its coil tapping ability. I'll try to do some when I have more time. You wouldn't need a full hard case for the guitar as the one it comes with is equally as strong as one. In the...

School me on the Springy Sound pickups

Hmmmmmm that info is correct for that specific years production of ST-100's. Tokai's spec changed over time. I have a set of both U and E pickups at home, I'll test them with a multimeter to prove their resistance figures are not the same
  17. C

School me on the Springy Sound pickups

The E Series pickups are based on 50's Pre CBS sounding, lowest output pickups. U Series more 60's pre CBS sounding. So both are vintage sounding !!

School me on the Springy Sound pickups

E pickups are lower in resistance that U pickups - Fact
