I recently found out about a relatively new model from Tokai, the XD200. I just got an email from Tokai last week about it, with some pics. I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics here directly, but in the meantime I'll post some links to the pics...

I can confirm that Tokai has been using Gotoh pickups on most of their guitars lately. There may be a few other Japanese pickup makers involved, but I know Tokai uses many Gotoh components. Fender Japan uses some of the same Gotoh parts too, although Fender has been sourcing parts from outside...

The way I understand it is the ATE90 is available in these colors and uses an alder body… Sunburst, Sonic blue, Candy apple red, Lake Placid blue and Ocean turquoise. The ATE98 uses an ash body and is available in vintage natural and blonde finishes.

I can order any of these models direct from the factory for sale in the USA, in case anyone is interested. I started selling new Tokai guitars again here in the states, but I don't want to ruin my welcome by posting links and crap like that. But I can also answer any questions about these...
