The headstock plug looks odd to me - wrong colour and a bit elongated.

How much would one of these be worth? Considering selling mine.

(Edit) I've listed it on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261565064123? ... 1555.l2649

Yes I mean the butt of the neck. If there's nothing there, I suspect this is 100% Fakai.

Is the decal on the headstock proud of the rest of the lacquer or does it appear underneath/flat and the same level?

Ah, I thought it was the other way round!

In that case, this looks a bit fishy. Partscaster or script logo rebadge?

I Don't think these are Tokai electrics. My Silverstars have grey bottomed pups.

If we can see a pic of the neck heel, we can tell you if it's likely to be a tokai neck.

Fair point, but still high. I have only one Tokai in this kind of condition - an FO 1983 block logo one: http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q731/sb-1969/Flamingo%20Springy%201983/IMG_1447_zpse8bb1836.jpg It was around the ?450 mark, so I still think it's a little on the high side. Impossible to say - must be an '82 if genuine since it is a spaghetti logo but with an L series neckplate. Would need to see body/neck stamps and routing
