September 1994, made at the Fujigen factory. I've one of the earlier made Terada ObG DC's and love it. The plain Orville's have a thicker poly finish, cheaper pups and a solid finish rather than translucent compared to the earlier ObG's but should still be made to the high Fujigen quality. Hard to s...

None of those divots look deep I'd be surprised if they're giving you problems with buzzing and would only take a little levelling. But sounds as if small frets aren't your taste and you don't want to pay some ridiculous amount to keep them so looks like you've already got your answer. Always nice t...

Nice guitar, I've a similar one I bought a while back. One of my lightest MIJ's around 9lb and neck feels a big fatter than the other Burny's I've had too, keep meaning to measure it. They're a pain to photo as the colours look a lot better and more subtle in real life than the flash seems to bring ...

Bang for buck it's hard to beat the Burnys, I've had 3 now and each one has been a solid well made and good playing guitar. Dunno if I've just lucked out, or if it's down to the smaller vintage style frets but they've easily had the lowest playable buzz free action of any MIJ's I've bought so far. L...

Don't think that style headstock inlay came along til 89ish so should be 95 using the usual serial format but I think that changed in the 90's and they weren't doing as many Gibson models later on. I was surprised it sold for less than 50K espicially as they're rare and the case was included. Certai...

Wasn't suggesting the guitar's low end by any means just thought it was misleading as it seemed to suggest it was it was the top of the line of the Greco Firebird range. All the Greco Mint Collection guitars I've had have been well made. From what I've seen of the Greco FB's the late 70's project se...

Looks like one of the cheaper Korean Cort made Greco's with that scarf joint on the headstock, logo and no serial. Not sure what the model number would be on those ones.

Looks to be one of the lower end 'studio' Greco fb's rather than "One of the higher-end Greco FB models." Higher end ones had binding on the necks and the banjo tuners, plus the dings all over the neck would irritate me. Pricewise it's always hard to estimate especially when not many turn up on UK s...

I've a yellow Orville By Gibson DC Junior, got to be one of my favourite guitars , just love the simplicity of the juniors and one P90 two knobs is more than enough.

Yep there does seem to be a lot of conflicting info around about the Orvilles, probably from when people decide to sell them :) I can only go from the ObG's I've had but none have gone gummy in acetone and even one of the weaker paint strippers didn't do anything on the one I stripped. I think peopl...

I've one of the 95 ObG 57B 'reissues' don't think it's nitro but it's certainly a thin finish, I stripped a 1991 ObG custom too and that was thin but certainly not nitro. The finish has a nice feel to it though and certainly not plasticy like some MIJ's feel, I think the inlay issue was with some of...
