http://i1172.photobucket.com/albums/r571/tennisjohn1/img_3_zps4196c095.jpg [/img] You are showing a partial pic of a Love Rock headstock with a Reborn Old hangtag for a LS-150. Reborn Old hangtags were used up to at least1985. So that's a 1981 or younger Love Rock LS-150. The case is 14k yen....

Hi Peter, I have logged LS only in between 8000101 and 8002163.
But my total LS count for 1978 is higher than my total ST count for 1978 as measured in the 8000101 to 8004296 range.

I don't know about you guys but after years of logging, I have only logged 150 Tokai's from 1978. On the total of 4296, that's only 0.035% of total production. It gives some indication at most but that's all. Re Peter: I have actually logged more LS models than Springys in 1978. Re John: My LS range...

Hi Peter,

What you are describing is a Matsumoku made Burny, so can be made in between 2nd quarter 1985 up to late 1986.

Cheers,
Jacco

PS How's the book coming along?

Diamond, that SS is not seventies because of the Tokai logo.
Can't read the first digit of the serial but looks like 1985.

Dry Zs bright? I have owned 4 sets (all in different guitars) and never found them to be bright. Maybe you should try them in another guitar?

Those are 500k pots.
You can replace those with short shaft metric ones

The Tokai logo on the headstock is from a 1984 or younger Tokai.
I thought I saw game mention that in 1984 on some models Tokai saddles are still seen, not sure though.
I think it's a 1984 model.
