Sold. 1980 Tokai TE-150 (TE-80 with b-bender)

Was going to sell this in september but changed my mind, but I really want an es-175 now so something has to go :(. This is basically a te-80 but with an added b-bender. It must be one of the first because this one has the patent number but no serial on the back plate. I've seen only one other tokai...

Beautiful couple! Maybe try top wrapping the es150 if you want to have it feel less stiff without changing string gauge? My natural one is topwrapped with flatwounds. Love it. Emiel, thanks. Don't want to hijack the thread. Really short, the custom is a 79/80's tokai lc 100 with a not so great neck ...

Thanks Brian, here are more pics of my es-100's. https://www.flickr.com/photos/124367246@N02/albums/72157656826915175/with/18915211632/ Should take some more but i prefer playing them. The cherry one is lighter then the other 2, also slightly thinner neck, but very close. All necks are a bit differe...

Congrats, that's a beauty. I love those old es-100/150's!
I always thought the difference between es-150 and es-100 was the cashew lacquer and pickups. They feel the same and the horns look the same to me..

tr means it's a red one, the r means red (forgot what the t stands for, probably something like traditional red..) normally there should be a red label inside the guitar (if you look trough the f-hole) that would either say es100J or es100R, but i've seen a few and own one where the label is gone mi...

The one on his website is an actual tokai es100 from those pics. Yours isn't. I
Does your guitar actually have a volute? Was hard to see from the pics.
The 12th fret dots on your guitar are also wrong. They should have known that it wasn't a tokai.

Sounds all good, must be an 81 tokai es 100.
Pull the neck humbucker, the model number and color should be in the pickup cavity.
Prica is hard to say without pictures.
From my experience the cherry's and naturals go for more then the sunbursts.
