?I used distant miking to get that rhythm guitar tone,? says Jimmy Page. ?Miking used to be a science, and I?d heard that distance makes depth, which in turn gives you a fatter guitar sound. The amp was turned up very high. It was distorting, just controlled to the point where it had some balls to i...

IMHO the best way to increase the size is with a tapered reamer - but these aren't cheap. Another fairly easy and safe way is to make a polishing stick from a pice of wooden doweling and sand paper. You can slot the end of the wooden dowel and use it to hold a small strip of sand paper. You can the...

It'll be something to do with the wiring I expect. If you took it to a good guitar shop they could sort it out for you and do a setup and fret dress at the same time.

Just a thought :)

I've always found the neck pickup (MkII in an LS85) to be a bit too muddy, but I've just had a play and lowered it slightly.

It's remarkable what such a small adjustment can do, the mids don't seem to overpower things anymore :)

This is an ST40. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230387873627&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Another oddity - the L serial numbers were supposed to be for the 64 copies with rosewood boards, but quite a few 58 copies (maple) seem to have them too. Tokai like to keep us guessing. :win...

Thanks, pickups can be changed no problem. Are the tuners a bit poor, or just a bit funny looking?

ST-50s seem to be more common anyway so I think I will probably be looking at those.

Is almosttokai.com up and running yet? I can?t seem to find any information on it, or am I being blind? Almost there mate, its bigger than we thought basically but will be up and running soon. Mick Nice one! I just wondered if I'd missed anything. It will be really useful for others to refer to.
