The lp Custom models are called LC so it's not much of a stretch to assume LS is lp Standard.

The wiring looks legit to me, those are Sprague Black Beauties which are definitely nothing to be ashamed of. We have seen examples of 150's with a 2 piece body. The fret edge binding is only found on high end models. You've got the certificate too. I don't see anything to be concerned about, but if...

I just mentally filtered that part out as salesman hyperbole. Flame grading is pretty subjective. Personally I love very straight, thin lines but looking at this thread I see I'm in the minority!

What would people here think it is worth ?? I think my Tokai prices seem to be out of date with the times. The come up so rarely it's hard to say (possibly rarer than 320's?). Unlike on the 320 the hardware and electronics were nothing special. The main selling points were the lacquer finish, solid...

I've continued to give him benefit of the doubt and sent a very civil message to his ebay account about the specs.

No serial plus 3 screw truss rod cover equals Korean, most likely mid to late 90s.

Way over priced.

Edit: model number FV48, it's in the 1999 catalogue

I don't know the Canadian market well enough, sorry. Sadly I don't think you'd get a lot for it. Advertising it as a Tokai when you know it isn't would be dishonest (and possibly criminal) but a lot of hosts (eg. ebay) won't allow fake goods to be sold through their store fronts. These fakes aren't ...

Headstock mostly.

Wrong logo shape, wrong colour, wrong truss rod cover, wrong fleur-de-lis, wrong tuners.

I've actually come to believe he deserves the benefit of the doubt over the incident and was quite possibly deceived by the person he is selling the guitar for, and I've said as much in private discussions with another forum member. However there's no excuse for this childish and unprofessional beha...

@Paladin2019 He got mad at me for making him tear the guitar apart and take pictures of it. Well, it clearly needed to be done for everyone's sake including his. Good to see the listing is removed (for now), it shows that someone somewhere is listening and a buyer has been protected. Job well done ...
