Need Help Identifying My 2001 LS-75Q MOAK

What's Up Guys? I just got in a really nice 2001 Japanese LS-75Q MOAK Love Rock and I'm not really sure what the MOAK stands for... I saw in the 2000 catalog that there is an LS-75Q model and under the color options it says "OAK" ... Does this mean it has an oak quilted laminated top with maple unde...

What I've done in the past is just emailed each individual bidder about the issue I have with the guitar, especially if it was completely misrepresented intentionally. Then sometimes they withdraw their bids and leave a message that the guitar was misrepresented, and that pretty much jinxes the auct...

Sorry - I should have put this post in the other section about guitars.

I'd move it, but I haven't figured out how yet

These emoticons are addictive... maybe relatives of the decepticons...

Regarding Final Prospec vs. TOKAI stamped saddles

Hey -

Simple question -

I saw a 7okai Springy Sound L Series '50s reissue in black recently and it had the "Final Prospec" saddles I usually only see on Goldstar Sounds.

I thought Springy Sounds always had "TOKAI" stamped saddles, but I could be wrong...

Anyone Know Anything About Early Tokai BANJOs?

A.P. Here - I just got back from one of my shopping sprees in Tokyo, where I could not find one single LS model made before 2000. Kind of sad, really. You'd think there would be lots of them seeing that they were made in Japan to begin with, but MAN, are they scarce now. I go to auctions, look throu...

Thanks Tony -

Hey Tony - I appreciate your vote of confidence, too. :) I am in Tokyo, like you said, so I do see hundereds of Tokais every time I decide to go guitar shopping. Since I have so many of them to choose from, I only buy the ones that have straight necks and are original. The Japanese are a very honest...

Hey Hey Hey

Hey, Hey, Hey, Be Nice... I just saw my first Tokai less than 9 months ago, so excuse me if I got the date wrong - I changed it right away, as soon as I found out it was a '98. On this website - it even says that the LS-70 models were reissues of the '56 LP. So what gives? Am I missing something? In...

Hello again. Thank you for your responses. You're right about checking under the pickguard for pickup markings, etc. I will take the time to do more checking from now on before I list my auctions. I'll even include a picture of the routing and pickups/electronics. It's just hard because I get so man...

Okay guys, This is apmechling, one of the few people on eBay that has been offering vintage Japanese Tokais. First, I want to say that I have really learned a lot from this website and enjoyed your dedication to learning as much as you can about Tokais and your love of sharing the wealth of knowledg...
