Thats not the same as the ones we get here. Looks to be a total different animal. Some of the more noticable differences are the headstock, fretboard inlays, bridge, ours have receses controls and bound body, neck and headstock, that one shown doesn't appear to. http://www.jsdguitarshack.com/images/...

The NLP-40 is a beautiful guitar and very well made like all the other MIK Tokais we get. There is a maple cap on mahogany body. Flame and quilt tops are NOT photo tops, they are real wood veneers that are used for the nice flame/quilt effects.

By the way, how many parts do the mahogany bodies usually have? Looking e.g. at the faded tobacco sunburst model it seems to be a 2-piece back? What is their average weight? Sometimes two, sometimes three. Most of the time the seem is right in the middle, I've noticed on a few that there are two se...

Plywood??? Come on! Why are you spreading this BS? :x

KOREAN TOKIAS ARE NOT MADE FROM PLYWOOD!!!

Ian if you'd be so kind as to enlighten me as to what info "togps" has I'd really like to hear it as he wouldn't share that info with me.

If you check out my site you'll see this as being the headstock of a new MIK 52 tele style and it says Goldstar Sound on it. I personally am not a tele fan but they are a decent guitar, nice build quality and they play nice.

The Korean made models are a nice, well guitar as you may have noticed yourself since you were able to actually try them out.

The MIK jr. has a maple neck where as the MIJ jr. has a one piece mahogany neck. I'm sure there will also be differences in the electronics and hardware.

Well I can't really tell you much about them other than the fact that those guitars are samples models that our supplier here brought in to check out and they are %100 Korean made. They won't be availabe in full production as they ended up costing too much. I could have snatched those ones up a few ...

Togps, I'd be interested in seeing why your calling all the Korean Tokai guitars, that are made under licence, fakes. Please PM me or e-mail me with your info. BTW, the guitars in those auctions are Korean made. Number of screw in the truss rod cover doesn't mean anything anymore, hasn't for a few y...

Re: Absolute Noob

And where online other than jsdguitars might I be able to order a Tokai? Hehe, should I be offended here??? If your looking for new Japanese Love Rock models that are pretty close to the "real thing" then you'll have to order them from a Japanese dealer. A dealer sending items marked as "gift...

Flee-bay dealers are exactly that and only that, flee-bay dealers. Thats what you would be dealing with in this case. They are available elsewhere other than flee-bay....;) Don't believe everything you read in a flee-bay add many are well known for there "creative" adds and false promisses and just ...

Typical flee-bayer "creative" selling methods. "last one", "limited edition", "rare", "get it now before they're all gone"...etc...etc... In this case its half true, they made more than 24 of these ones but this model is a limited run. As long as they keep selling they will continue to be made.... :...

ES-60 = Korean ES-100/120 = Japanese Both are a nice quality but the Japanese version is top notch, its hand made in Japan with better quality woods, electronics and also features a one piece mahogany neck, the Korean model has the standard three piece rock maple neck. The Japanese model is on par w...
