Yes, they were called MKII model and avalaible in LS50 and LS60 models where 80s had 57 PAF. Some Goto like 1979 and 80 in a transition period too...

I had a LS50 Hamamatsu made in 1981 with thise pickups, they sounded correct, lacked some bass but the guitar could be a factor also. I must have a sound sample somewhere....

Mid level Japan models, 2 piece maple2 pieces top, 2 pieces body, urethane finish.
Only LS50 model below 3 pieces top. Same as LS70 but no thin laminated sheet over maple top

It is correct, the resistance, I had a LS150 with one pickup as said above.
My guess is Tokai trying to get a younger public for his guitars , stronger pickup means more power you know...

I have seen a 1 piece EX from another brand different than Tokai or Fernandes, changing spec to to 2 pieces afterwards.

Metric, I ahve been experimenting with all sort of ABRs and tailpieces and all were metric size, you had to enlarge US size ABRs as Pigtail, for example. Gotoh stock bridge in quite good!

Hello Alan, I owned a 2001 LS70VF and it was urethane laquer, different from upper line LOve Rocks. It was a very nice guitar and ligth (3'8 kg.'2 pieces back).

They go from very ligth to medium to heavy. I has a very ligth LC60BB from the same period, a nice guitar....

You can get a Gator brown Lifton style with pink inside for much less and it works OK.
I just got one for my beloved 1981 ES-100 SB.
