I've seen 2 es-100's with an '80 serial, so first year is 1980.
In the 84 catalogue they are called TES.

I guess 600 usd in 1980 was also not considered as 'cheap'.

found some pics from what i believe to be a magazine or book, but could also be a brochure on tokai breezysounds.

seen tst50 and 55 with matching headstocks.
I have seen 55 with matching headstock on this forum.
ast has different headstock, specwise they probably are close.

tokai tst50 right? Ast has a different headstock if i'm correct? This one has a proper fender shape. Nice guitar
