Agreed. Serial number is an oddity but otherwise it all looks good.

In a recent thread we encountered the same issue with the word 'condenser' in the catalogue when the English version should be 'capacitor'.

Apparently the word condenser is close to what is used in ...

The condensers are different, reason why I was wondering if it was a LS230.

I don't think you can read too much into that. They probably just got the name wrong on the catalogue, the translations ...

I'm confused. How do the specs differ from the LS230 is in the catalogue?

It's hard to tell but the photos seem to show a faint outline of the "Love Rock Model" text where it may have bee ...

Maybe check it out if it's local but with such extensive mods and a poorly understood history I personally wouldn't touch it for more that 150 if it played well.

Definitely not MIJ.

The person has gone to some effort to make it look MIJ. Not a crime in itself, but trying to pass it off as a MIJ when you want to sell up is not on!

The truss rod cover is f ...

I've got one of tokais pink-lined Lifton type cases and the fit is perfect, although one of the modern 3rd party hardcase makers would probably offer better protection.

It may be worth pointing him in the direction of this thread and reporting the listing to ebay as misleading. His terrible punctuation and all caps writing style say to me he probably won't listen to ...

Post photos if you have any. But it sounds like you've answered your own question and you're right to be suspicious.

Well, it's definitely MIJ, so that's good. The truss rod cover looks mid-90's to me but I could be wrong. It's obviously a flametop veneer over a maple cap, no fret edge binding and the surface chippi ...
