I guess the lack of comments answers my question. OK, I'll go ahead and sell it here in Japan. Just as a matter of interest, the guitar is a sunburst, block neck ES130 purchased earlier this year. It has been completely rewired with shielded cable throughout. It has Duncan Antiquity pickups, CTS pot...

Just thinkin' out loud ...

I am toying with the idea of selling one of my ES130's. I thought about posting it on the classified page here, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the problems of money and shipping with an overseas buyer. What do you guys think, should I post it in the classifieds, or try to sell it here in Japan...

Re: A Greco GAS-130 arrived today!

Yes, following my enquiries here about these, I 'took one for the team'! Honestly, it was purely selfless...I did it just for you! :P Thanks for taking the bullet for us! While I haven't actually bought one of those guitars yet, I certainly intend to. I played one in a store here and was very impre...

Hi - thanks for the responses. I will be in Tokyo 22-24 Oct. I will likely only have time to go guitar hunting in the afternoon/early evening of 23-24th - as I said, I'm there for work so my time really won't be my own. I think the store I was thinking of is Kurosawa. It's quite close to Ochanomizu...

Re: newb with questions for Japan members

Yes. I know a shop that has a strong connection with Tokai. the manager of that shop is a man who was working at Tokai for long. he knows everything about old Tokais. http://www.meikyokudo-neo.show-buy.jp/index.htm not sure if he accept your orders. That shop is in Nagoya, just slightly outside of ...

Keeping in mind that Japanese descriptions can be rather odd and hard to translate, here's more or less what it says. "Based on the E-LP-85CD, a rare ?burl? maple top is added to the top material. In addition, on the head, neck and body, abalone binding is added inside the regular binding. Even the ...

pickups

I have 6 Tokai pickups in my closet collecting dust now. Maybe I should take a few of them apart and see what I can come up with! It might be good experience.

Thanks Bill. I really like my Tokai ES-100 neck and I prefer the chunkier profile. I've just been told by someone else that the GAS-130 neck is not as chunky as a '59 Les Paul but not as shallow as a Gibson 335, by which I assume they mean the current 335 version. Blah...I wonder if it would bother...

I'm sorry, but I completely overlooked the fact that forums like this run on donations. I just sent mine too. Maybe this will start a trend! Keep up the good work guys. :D

Took 13 years to get my permanent visa which only means I don`t have to get a re-entry visa every time I leave the country...still can`t vote though. I am approaching to the end of my time here with any luck at all, this will be m...

Re: An idea for Love Rock owners (borrowed from the LPF)

Basically, the thread was advocating using a second thumbwheel on tuneomatic bridge posts in order to reinforce them and prevent them bending with time. Screw the two wheels tightly together and you also make it harder to knock them out of position when you take all the strings and the bridge off. ...

Kens

I don't about the goldtop Tokai, but Kens is a very well known store here in Tokyo, and I'm sure you would not have any problems buying from them.
