Thanks for the info! I'm the one who posted about the 3-pu greco standard. The guitar isn't double-binded and it has the pearloid type tuners. It also doesn't have the diamond inlay on the headstock, just 'greco' and a 'standard' truss cover. The tuners have 'greco deluxe' on them. Humbuckers are no...

can anyone give me information about greco les paul standards with 3-pickup configurations? at least it says 'standard' on the truss rod cover. the serial at the back of the headstock is G787662. it appeared to be one of the chambered deals but i've yet to find another one with 3 pickups. i'll try t...

I came across a greco LP sunburst that seems to have the hollow chambers and don't know anything about the guitar. It's a 3 pickup configuration with no inlays on the headstock (just the greco label) and trapezoids on the neck. I can't remember the serial but it starts with a G787...something someth...

i came across a yamaha sg400 and a yamaha sg3000 but am having a hard time getting info about them over the net. can anyone help me try to figure out dating for these guitars? i've been a bit lucky with the sg3000 but the info is still far from enlightening. and the sg400? forget about it. i can't f...

i jumped in the water and bought both strats. :D these are great guitars and they've already inspired me to play more than i have for a long time. i've never been good at comparing guitars tonewise but i've handled enough to say that these 'feel' more right than most fenders and other copies that i'...

i found another tokai springy sound. a previous owner tried scratching off the decal and only the 7 in 7okai was left. saddles and nut have been replaced with graphites and the trem block and plate appear to be cheap replacements too. it's wine red, has deluxe-stamped tuners, a 't' type string tree ...

got the pictures but i misplaced the usb cable. i'll buy one later. we found a serial number stamped on the heel end of the neck. a ghost impression has been transfered on the neck cavity of the body. serial # 8000963. one of the tuners has also been replaced. the others are vintage 'tokai'-stamped ...

I'm going to borrow a digicam and try to take pictures of it later. :D The guitar is a nicely aged white with a chunky maple neck, spaghetti logo and vintage tuners. everything seems legit from the front including the tokai-stamped saddles and button stringtree. the neckplate size and the lacking of...

Springy with narrow neckplate
Does anyone have any additional information about the strats with narrow neckplates. I've spotted a spaghetti logo and maple necked one with the said plate that doesn't have a serial number. It's getting me very curious and I want to know more about these models since it isn't mentioned in the regis...

thanks, ian! i didn't know that. i actually thought the contrary to be true. thank you again for clearing that up! the guitar seems to be one of the older strat replicas without a serial number on the neckplate which also happens to be smaller than the standard plates. 'tokai' markings are on both t...

two-piece replica strat bodies
is it common for the early-80s/late-70s stratocaster replicas to have two piece bodies? i saw a cream one that looks bookmatched and am at a loss if i should consider buying it or not. thanks for looking! =)
