Hi folks, Sorry I've been quiet, just had a mad week... I'd like to say it was really great meeting all of you guys. Thanks for treating me 'like a king' - I couldn't be happier having the chance to play all those wonderful guitars. Sorry for my rough playing though - I am sure there were musicians ...

I will do my best to make it to Leeds and bring my red ST-60. Will also bring my '73 Guild M-75 (LP copy) as never had the chance to compare it side by side with any other LPs.
Haven't heard from anyone bringing basses. Would love to see some Jazz Sounds there...

I will send a message asking for more pictures. What extra bits should I need to look at to be sure it's a 85 and not a 60? Cheers, Andre

How about the E pickups, the bag and the warranty card? Do they tell anything?

Cheers

hmmm interesting So, is this what you call a 'brass plate'? http://imageevent.com/waggi/takaist60mintred?p=31&n=1&m=-1&c=4&l=0&w=4&s=0&z=3 Bearing in mind that it's got 'E' pickups, is it an indication that it was built after 1985? Also, can the warranty card or the guitar bag help me to estimate th...

So based on what the seller said, can is there a way I confirm that my Goldie was in fact produced in 1984?

Cheers

Wow Gabe, beautiful guitar!! I love the colour. I am glad that my guitar has the same saddles and tuners as yours, confirming their originality What does '2260' means on the neck plate? I heard that these were not really serial numbers, but references to the models that were copied? The neck on your...

Guitar arrived!!

Hello all, The guitar arrived this morning. I have to say I was speechless when I open the guitar bag. Believe or not it looks way better live than in the pictures. It is absolutely immaculate. It makes me feel guilty to play it! Even the bag looks brand new - it doesn't say Tokai anywhere, but base...

Thanks all for sharing your knowledge. I am happy that I made a good deal, on what apparently seems to be the real thing. I bought it from a chap in the UK, who said he had got it from Japan. It sounds like Chingo is the Master of Tokais, so it could well be one of his guitars (?) It is still on its...

Opinion on a ST-60

Hello, I'm new to the forum and also a complete newbie in the Vintage Tokai world. I've just manage to get what appears to be a ST-60. Would really appreciate to have your comments on it as to originality and other possible issues. Pix: http://imageevent.com/waggi/takaist60mintred and http://imageev...
