Lovely!

I have a Classic Series Heavy Relic in Surf Green and I REALLY like it! What do you think of the pickups? Mine sounds bright and percussive. They really twang and BITE. Great guitars!

Greo SE380

You know what? That is an SE600! I Think it's the wrong sticker on the back of the headstock. Almost looks like a 1 piece body too! Someone got VERY lucky there!

Bacchus relic

Hey Wulf... Yes it has arrived. Very impressive relic job and quite a thin finish too. I believe it is a top lacquer finish. There are places where you can see the white undercoat. It is very tasteful and I honestly don't know how they can get this ageing to look so realistic. They've even put a cir...

Bacchus Classic "Relic"

Hi all. Just won this one on Rinkya last night. I know that there is very little info online about the Classic series but how could I resist a Sonic Blue/rosewood Strat with Relic finish?? Well, I couldn't. Anyone have any pearls of wisdom to share on this model? I'd be interested to know if the qua...

Bolt on neck

Mitch...these were the very last of the Mint Collection. I think they were called "Rock Spirits". They usually had a veneer flame top and the bolt securing the internal join. Never played one myself but I think they were classed as the mid-priced Grecos of the Late 1980's early 90's.

Black Super Real

Mitch I have a black Super Real from 1982. It has a fat neck but NOT as fat as say an EGF850! Mine is a solid body, 3-piece top with the Super Real "Transition" logo and Mint Collection open O together. It has a sticker on the back that says "500" and has U-1000 pickups. Mine also has fret binding. ...

Greco SA??

Marcus... That's bad luck mate sorry to hear of your issues. Hopefully now the guitar will be working properly and you'll get some use out of it. It would be interesting to know if your new one is the same dimensionally as your SA64-90. My new SA is significantly lighter and more resonant than my SA...

Greco Super Real

Mate that's just beautiful! I really like that darker "Burst" better than the light ones. The mineral streaks do look cool. more importantly how does she SOUND?

Greco SA??

Marcus.. It sounds quite different to the SA64-70. That has 57 Classics but the new one has no markings on the pups. Very PAF'y sounding, lower output. The neck pickup is really plummy, warm and defined. With a little reverb it's superb! Very happy. How did your new one go Marcus? You must have it b...

Photos finally

Sorry it's taken me so long to get photos up. The weather here has been diabolical so I was waiting for some sun to bring out the beauty of this lovely instrument. http://s962.photobucket.com/albums/ae102/newieboy/?action=view¤t=SDC11791.jpg Just click on that one and see the rest of the snaps...

Greco SA??

Thanks for the thoughts everyone! I'll get a Nitro check done on this one as soon as I can. I'll also post some decent shots of the top/neck etc too. I also noted that the shape of the new SA is different to my 64-70. It has the more rounded "Mickey Mouse" horn shape with a noticeable "carve" or mou...
