Love Rock II - strap button move

Hi, I have a Love Rock II in blue quilt. It's a beautiful guitar with the best sounding pickups in my collection. However, it's never quite felt right while standing -- too heavy and my shoulder gets bothered. I recently stumbled on to a change that made it my #1 - I moved the upper bout strap butto...

Staggered pole pieces fix (hack!)

Hello, I have this parts-caster with MIJ pickups in it that I love. However, it's got staggered pole-pieces that have always annoyed me because of the drop in volume from the G to the B strings, especially on the neck pickup. The B pole is significantly lower than the G pole and the difference in vo...

What finish did you go for? I went for the Faber locking alum tailpiece and studs, Faber tone lock bridge posts and bridge with brass saddles. I also replaced the tuners with some RS Guitarworks aged Kluson tulip tuners..... great guitar. I went for the worn honey burst and its great. I haven't don...

Hi, I just picked up one of the 60's tributes and it's very nice. Aside from the neck, the other difference is the electronics -- the 60's doesn't have the orange drop capacitors. It just has these regular small ones. And the cavity cover isn't see-thru. I may put them in, but I'm not unhappy with t...

Hello, Here are some pics from inside the pickup cavities. The pickups have no markings on them. They do have braided wire, which is cool and they sound good; I'm just surprised there's no sticker on them even. They're supposed to be MK-2's, I think, made by Keiyo?. The tenon is very long, I think t...

They are clones on Yamaha's MSG as designed by Martin Booth Excellent! Thanks for the links. That's exactly what mine is like, although the knobs are in a different spot. I absolutely love the guitar. The only thing I wasn't ready for was the weight .. around 9.75 lbs. I just need a wider strap, I ...

How do you find the stock P90s, Bill? I looked under the strings between the bridge and the neck. Just Kidding! I haven't played it that much, but they sound good. The bridge seems a little weak compared to the neck, but it does deliver a good full guitar raunch. I've got a couple of other P...

You've got your camera backwards. Other than that, nice clownie! LOL. It's my first branded Tokai. I've got two Diodatis, which were made by Tokai and a Fender Japan telecaster that was supposedly made by Tokai, but this is the first one that says it on the headstock. I'm psyched. It plays excellen...

Beautiful top on that. The body shape is very similar (if not identical) to the Hamer echotone. The 'ears' are more round than a Gibby 335, etc.
Because of this, I'd bet it's Korea (or maybe even Chinese).

What gives you the idea that it's chambered? The hole you see is the tunnel for the wires to the pickup selector switch.
Well, the top looks a little thin to be a full cap and the tunnel looks a little
big and rectangular.

From the tenon shot, it looks like it's is a chambered one. Is that the case?

You know come to think of it, maybe it can be expressed in two dimensions, one for 'accuracy in reproduction' and the other 'intent to deceive':
