Well I've been here since I bought it in 2002 but I just never post :D

It's actually up for sale as I'm hoping to get enough money together to grab a Tokai LP.

Just got a reply from Tokai, I must say they were very quick in responding. Dear Dave, "38" was our production number at that time. Your guitar was made in October, 2001. ATE50 Alder 3 Pieces, Maple 1 Piece Neck, BL(Blond) color It was made at our factory in Hamamatsu, Japan Best regards, Shohei Ada...

I bought it brand new so I would say a 2002 or possibly 2001. I personally have no doubt that it's MIJ but I sure can't see any way of proving it  No serial numbers or anything although I don't believe that's unusual for the later models. What year or era was it represented as? That would help ...

Help Confirming MIJ Breezysound

Hi everyone. I bought this Breezysound from a very reputable dealer here in Ontario back in 2002. At the time he was selling both Goldstar and Breezy Sound guitars. There was certainly a big price difference and a noticable difference in quality between the 2. Unfortunately there are no markings on ...

I thought the new Korean copies were labelled Goldstar. I had one for a few months then upgraded to a Japanese breezysound but I'm sure the Korean '52 reissue was a Goldstar

Not that I've found either. I haven't removed the neck plate to see if there is one under there but there are certainly no numbers anywhere else and mine is Japanese for sure.

Just updated from Korean to Japanese Tele

I thought I could resist but I should never have picked it up. "It" is a brand new Breezysound Tele finished in White Blonde with maple neck c/w skunk stripe. Gone is the Korean butterscotch, if my wife hadn't been with me I'd probably still have both but I'd also be in a lot of trouble. Hard to des...

Not sure! If it's going to cost you that much why don't you call Songbird or Murch and see what they can do for you?

I paid $399 Canadian from Murch Music and couldn't be happier. I have a pair of Harmonic Design pickups on order, should be here in about 4 weeks.

There's a green customs tag but you've got to look really closely to see the check mark in the gift box, but it's there, I'm sure they just missed it. I may phone to voice my complaint but I'd probably just get my name put into some little black book for future reference, paranoid eh!

Right on Novasel! It was all duty and taxes. The postie said that if it was marked as a gift it would have sailed through no problem. Keep in mind for future ref. Ned.
Still a great shirt tho' :D

Hey Beerslinger did Canada post hit you with any additional expenses? I'm picking mine up tomorrow and they want $9.75 for something. I assumed shipping was pre-paid ($7.50 U.S.)

Hi everyone + couple of newbie questions.

I just purchased a new Korean Goldstar Sound Tele in butterscotch with black pickguard and maple fretboard for the ridiculous price of $399 Canadian. :D Now the mods can start but I have a couple of questions. I'm planning on installing Harmonic Design pups and a 4 way switch, and maybe a tortoishel...
