I think there were none made in Korea, the Kxxx's were special orders by a Japanese music store whose name began with a K. The biggest factor on orvilles is whether they are "Orvilles" or Orvilles by Gibson", the latter being higher grade with nitro and fret binding and long neck tenon and gibson US...
I just got the neck pickup out, just to see what it looked like from the inside and its definatly a long tenon, it stops 1/2 cm before the end of the cavity (I saw a real '63 and that tenon stopped about halfway in the cavity). My cam's batteries are empty but I'll try and post some pictures tomorrow.
I haven't really gigged it yet, I play anything from blues to jazz to rock to noise rock, so I like a bit of feedback. I think it'll be fairly similar to my thinline tele though (same construction) so feedback would be there but very controllable.
