I guess no one who wants a nice 130 is planning a trip to Japan. Oh well, I gave it a shot. Tomorrow it will be off to Shibuya to be put on consignment. Thanks for looking.

Cheers.

Casino

I have an Epiphone Casino that I put a set of Duncan Antiquities in and it plays and sounds great. Don't give up on the Casino until you try a few. I love mine!

Anyone coming to Japan interested in ES130?

I have a mint sunburst ES130, completely rewired (Gibson wire, Switchcraft switch and jack, RS Guitarworks Super Pots, Vitamin-Q caps, Duncan Antiquity pickups), that I will be selling probably on consignment here in Tokyo. But I thought I'd see if anyone here was interested. I don't want to get inv...

Certainly am. Have any advice? I'm afraid I can't help you with your tone quest, that's really a personal matter, but I think I would suggest that you consider Tokai over Epi. I know there are lots of Epi fans out there, and I even have some myself, but in my limited experience, the Tokai's tend to...

Re: ES 120 wiring upgrade?

Anyone done one? Does it require widening the holes for the pots? If so how difficult is this? Best place to get electronics? Yes, a few of us have done that mod. Try searching through the forum for some past posts on this subject. The holes need to be widened if you put standard size US pots in. B...

By the way ...

Although they were only made for a short time, as I recall the list price in the US was around $1500.

Burny

I have one of the regular production models, in cherry with a dot neck. It doesn't have all the fancy inlay, but it's quite a nice guitar. And it actually sounds pretty good with the stock pickups. I bought mine here in Japan about 10 years ago. I think I paid about $700 for it. The only thing I don...

Re: What does you wife say?

There is an Edwards in my office she does not know ... I almost fell out of my chair when I read that, because I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing! I have almost 30 guitars now, and in fact, the last one I got my wife bought for me! But she does have her limits, and money is getting tigh...

No, but apparently the Deluxe could be ordered with full-size humbuckers, so they could be original.
